Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to learn the full front-end process and ensure successful service for our patients. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, verify patient information, and process orders or schedule equipment as ordered by physicians.

You will navigate EMR systems, educate patients on insurance responsibilities, and meet quality metrics with compassionate, patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare admin, insurance customer service, claims, or call center experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain knowledge of current products and services offered by AdaptHealth.
• Answer all calls and emails promptly and in line with goals.
• Document all call information according to SOP.
• Answer questions about products/services, insurance and billing as needed based on caller needs.
• Process orders, route calls to appropriate resource, and follow up on calls.
• Review documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
• Obtain pre-authorization when required and coordinate physician orders with carriers.
• Navigate multiple EMR systems to access documentation and update records.
• Communicate trends with insurance carriers to management for service improvement.
• Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics.
