Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an Office Coordinator for Women’s Imaging in Fredericksburg. This part-time role focuses on insurance verification, scheduling, and collecting payments, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across imaging sites.

You will greet patients, handle calls, process pre-authorizations, and maintain accurate records while supporting clinicians and staff in delivering timely imaging services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years related experience in a call center, patient registration, patient accounts, or patient billing preferred.
• Experience in third party insurance and insurance terminology, CPT, and ICD-9 codes preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner and provides excellent customer service.
• Answers telephones and screens/transfers calls or takes messages as appropriate.
• Obtains insurance information, pre-authorizations, and verifies benefits.
• Schedules tests and procedures using scheduling software.
• Maintains records and ensures accurate CPT/ICD-10 and billing data; monitors daily charges and reconciles as needed.
