Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare Incorporated seeks a detail‑oriented registrar for the Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg locations. You’ll verify patient insurance and pre-authorizations, schedule tests, and collect copays and deductibles while supporting day‑to‑day operations with accuracy and courtesy.

You will greet patients, answer calls, maintain records, enter orders in RMS/EPIC, monitor schedules, and coordinate with insurers to secure proper payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Two years related experience in call center, patient registration or billing preferred.
• Experience with third-party insurance, CPT and ICD-9 codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a courteous, professional manner and support service goals.
• Answer phones, transfer calls, and take messages as needed.
• Assist with patient financial matters and scheduling tests.
• Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and collect insurance cards.
• Enter outpatient imaging orders and monitor workflow and billing accuracy.
• Coordinate with insurers on benefits, co-pays, pre-authorizations, and payments.
