Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 1 to provide administrative support in a physician office or clinic, handling patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and phone inquiries.

Responsibilities include registering patients, collecting insurance details, guiding patients to waiting areas, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records across multiple clinic locations in Plano and Grapevine, with occasional coverage elsewhere as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, manage check-in/check-out and scheduling.
• Verify insurance information and enter data into the system.
• Process payments and post charges with accuracy.
• Direct patients to waiting areas and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Respond to routine inquiries about hours and services.
• Maintain patient records and assist with medical records duties.
