Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients professionally; manages communications concisely and pleasantly.
• Answers telephone promptly and courteously; takes messages and routes callers appropriately.
• Schedules patient appointments for all physicians, confirming the next day.
• Obtains complete demographic and insurance information for each patient.
• Collects on patient accounts and/or co-pays; maintains petty cash accounting.
• Responds to basic insurance or billing inquiries or directs to appropriate staff.
• Restocks and maintains the work station and equipment in order.
• Helps locate records and reports requested by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
