Job summary

Trinity Health's Enfield Primary Care team is seeking a friendly Business Services Representative to handle non-clinical office work, greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect copays, and coordinate referrals and chart preparation for efficient visit flow.

You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and supporting providers in delivering high-quality primary care in the Enfield community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred; knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills; proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products. Accuracy and dependability required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients via in person or phone in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.
• Handles patient registration, insurance verification, and collects copays and payments at the time of service.
• Coordinates pre-authorizations, referrals, and help prepare charts to ensure smooth and efficient visits.
