Job summary

Patient First seeks a friendly front desk/clerical team member to support patients at our Virginia centers. You will assist patients at the kiosk, register them, handle payments, and provide accurate billing and insurance information with excellent service.

Must be 18+, have basic typing, 1+ year clerical experience, and be able to sit/stand for up to 7 hours. Training will cover the EMR system. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic typing skills.
• Minimum one year of clerical experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
• Escort emergency patients to the treatment area for registration and evaluation.
• Handle billing policy questions and explain insurable vs. non-insurable charges.
• Register patients accurately with excellent customer service.
• Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance data.
• Answer billing questions and provide itemized statements as requested.
• Process charges and receipts for visits and supplies.
