Job summary

The PSR will verify patient information, assist with insurance verification, schedule appointments, and manage payments at the point of service while maintaining compliance with MUSC policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; substitution with related experience acceptable.
• 2+ years in front-desk or patient service roles recommended.
• Experience handling registration, insurance verification, and payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient registration and update demographics at each visit.
• Verify insurance and submit verification forms to Billing Office.
• Schedule appointments and confirm or reschedule as needed.
• Collect and post payments; provide receipts and balance daily deposits.
• Handle incoming calls and route inquiries efficiently.
• Assist with scheduling for faculty, residents, and students as needed.
