Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
• Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patient, visitors, and colleagues while performing their job duties.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information.
• Must possess a personal presence... to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients; manage admitting processes efficiently and in compliance with policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
• Enter demographics, insurance, and other pertinent data into the EMR and related systems.
• Copy/scan ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc. into the EMR.
