South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Port St. Lucie (Tradition) is seeking an experienced Patient Services Representative to join our Front Office team. You will warmly greet patients, manage check-in/out, verify demographics and insurance, and help keep the office running smoothly.

In this full-time, on-site role, you will handle payments, schedule follow-ups, support patient flow, and maintain HIPAA compliance in a collaborative environment that puts patients first.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of medical office or healthcare customer service experience.
• Experience with medical front office duties: registration, scheduling, and payment collection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented work style.
• Basic computer proficiency and quick learner of new software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with professionalism and warmth.
• Complete patient check-in and check-out using EMR and registration systems.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; collect documentation.
• Process copayments, deductibles, outstanding balances, and payments.
• Schedule follow-up appointments per provider instructions.
• Assist patients in navigating the office and direct to departments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Balance daily payments and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Cross-train to cover other front office duties.
• Maintain accurate patient registrations in EMR.
