Job summary

Intermountain Health's Grand Junction Neurology Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first connection with patients, greeting and guiding them through intake, check-in/out, and information verification while upholding our service standards.

You will document calls in the EMR, schedule appointments, collect demographic and insurance details, assist with forms, and help patients navigate billing and financial assistance.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience required.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous connections with patients by phone or in person.
• Document calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data.
• Obtain insurance information and signatures; validate benefits.
• Assist with forms and educate patients about financial help and payments.
• Stay current with duties by reviewing emails and clinic updates.
