Qualifications

• > One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• < Insurance verification experience preferred.
• < Prior authorization experience preferred.
• < Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• < Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• < Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate staff.
• Provide telecommunications support using phones, paging systems, radios, and related tools.
• Facilitate patient flow from referral to admission in a timely, accurate manner.
• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information for patient registration and billing.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility as needed and assist with prior authorizations.
• Enter charges and maintain records for telecommunications and on-call schedules.
