Hudson Headwaters Health Network Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to provide administrative and patient support within our health centers.

The role is fulltime, 40 hours per week, with shifts varying to cover evenings and a Saturday morning rotation, in line with our hours of operation. You will greet patients, handle calls and faxes, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and assist with referrals.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload

Aufgaben

• Greets patients and visitors promptly and professionally
• Assists patients and team with calls and faxes
• Identifies emergencies and takes appropriate actions
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance over the phone and at check-in
• Schedules/reschedules appointments to maximize provider availability
• Collects co-pays and balances; offers sliding fee program
• Checks out patients and schedules follow-up appointments
• Reconciles payment batches daily; reports discrepancies
• Maintains patient confidentiality per policy; handles EMR documents
• Performs duties in opening/closing departments per policy
• Supports training of other Patient Services staff
• Other duties as assigned
