Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Schedule patients and enter information into the scheduling system.
• Process patients in practice at appointment times.
• Verify insurance information and assist with payments and registration.
• Assist with referrals, MyChart enrollment, and follow-up scheduling.
• Pull charts and route to clinical staff as needed.
• Coordinate authorizations and pre-certifications if applicable.
