Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative to deliver exceptional healthcare service. You will perform registration, concierge and clerical tasks, greet patients, schedule appointments, and document calls in the EHR. You’ll ensure accurate demographics and insurance information and support check-out with follow-up scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year certificate from college/technical school.
• 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a concierge: greets and communicates with patients or visitors.
• Performs clerical tasks including answering practice phone calls, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, generating patient letters, processing mail and registrations.
• Identifies and reminds patients of health maintenance gaps.
• Documents patient phone calls in the EHR for routing/resolution.
• Registers and checks in patients: confirms demographics and insurance info; assists with self-registration.
• Checks out patients: schedules follow-up appointments or confirms future visits.
• Maintains medical records per standards; uploads documents into EPIC.

Education
