Job summary

Dermatology Associates of Northeast Georgia is seeking a Full Time Clerical role in Gainesville, GA. You will be part of the care team, handling patient greetings, registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and telephone management.

The position requires excellent customer service, accuracy, and a professional demeanor. Prior clinical experience and knowledge of EHR systems are highly valued; HS diploma required with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience in customer service, preferably in a related clinical environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or related healthcare certification, preferred.
• Knowledge of basic to intermediate computer operation.
• Mathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with patient registration and scheduling.
• Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification tasks.
• Manage telephone lines and respond to inquiries in a courteous, professional manner.
• Access EHR to communicate with clinical staff using SBAR format and/or standard phrases.
• Balance cash and manage cash drawer per standard procedures.
• Operate a multi-line telephone console.
