Job summary

UC Health (Cincinnati) seeks a Patient Services Representative to be the main contact for patients as they enter, exit, or seek assistance within our facilities. You will deliver courteous service while handling each interaction with care.

You will pre-register patients, verify demographics, discuss MyChart enrollment, collect co-pays, and support insurance changes and pre-authorizations as needed. Strong communication and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 0–6 months of related experience required; 1–2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist as they enter or exit the clinic.
• Answer patient questions and help with day-of scheduling changes.
• Assist patients with data collection and registration details.
• Explain consent processes and collect co-payments per workflow.
• Coordinate insurance updates and pre-authorizations when needed.
• Support referrals and pre-visit planning with clinical staff.
