Job summary

Duke Health's Duke Primary Care - Leesville location seeks a Patient Care Associate to support daily clinic operations, assist with patient check-in/out, manage appointment scheduling, and handle charge posting and collections with accuracy and courtesy.

You will communicate with patients, verify demographic information, coordinate labs and referrals, and ensure privacy and HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate care in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Basic PC and data entry skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing schedules and preparing patient charts.
• Check-in/out patients, post charges, and manage accounts.
• Schedule tests and procedures; coordinate labs and referrals.
• Explain billing to patients and collect co-payments as required by policy.
