Job summary

Gulf Coast Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Customer Services Representative (Phone Operator) to handle incoming calls, schedule and remind patients of appointments, and maintain accurate patient records.

You will interact with clients, families, and staff, providing a courteous and professional experience while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. The role requires a high school diploma and healthcare exposure; BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years’ healthcare experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic office procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones, routes to appropriate personnel and relays messages.
• Schedules patient appointments and reschedules or reminds patients of appointments.
• Enters patient information into computer systems and maintains HIPAA-compliant records.
• Provides courteous customer service and maintains a professional image to clients and vendors.
