Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vital signs and updating records.
• Assist physicians and nurses with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by physician or NP.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for lab testing.
• Process prescription refills per provider authorization.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure sterilization.
