Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Patient Service Technician at varying levels. Placements are based on qualifications and experience, with duties supporting patient care under licensed supervision.

Technicians will perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived tests, maintain records, and follow safety guidelines. Compensation includes hourly pay with comprehensive benefits; full-time opportunities across Houston-area

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification via American Heart Association; must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Phlebotomy program completion or 1 year phlebotomy experience required.
• Ability to operate related equipment and use Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and adult venipunctures and specimen collection as ordered.
• Perform CLIA-waived testing (urine dip, pregnancy tests, glucose, etc.).
• Maintain accurate laboratory records for inspections and audits.
• Follow safety guidelines and perform quality controls as required.
