Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen collection for pediatric and adult patients across multiple sites in Houston. You will execute CLIA-waived tests, maintain meticulous records, and support quality control programs under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of a phlebotomy program or equivalent experience, BLS within 30 days, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy program or direct phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and adult venipunctures, finger sticks, heel sticks, and other collection services as ordered by the provider.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure readiness for inspections/audits.
• Perform quality controls and participate in proficiency testing as required.
• Maintain lab instruments and follow safety guidelines.
