Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.

This is an entry-level position.

Starting salary : $18 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

Seeking a full-time Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join our growing team at a large multi-disciplinary clinic. The ideal candidate is proactive, a team player, and collaborates to solve problems while providing outstanding customer service and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be flexible, organized, and adaptable. Responsibilities include processing referrals, scheduling patients, completing intake processes & data entry, insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, reviewing benefits with patients, copay collection, patient arrivals and re-scheduling, billing reports, closing reports, and other tasks as needed. Clinic hours are 7-7 Monday-Thursday and 7-5 on Fridays. The candidate is expected to do at least one opening and one closing shift. Shifts start at 7:00, 8:30, or 10:30 as needed.

  • Answer phones

  • Insurance verification and pre-authorization
  • Operate front office of outpatient centers
  • Support therapists and therapy assistants
  • Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of insurance verification
