Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Georgetown, TX seeks an entry-level Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to travel between outpatient clinics. The role involves processing referrals, scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, data entry, copay collection, and billing support across Georgetown, Liberty Hill, and Burnet areas.

The position is full-time with hours 7am–7pm, traveling to multiple centers as needed. Starting pay is $18–$25 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Prefer experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient appointments to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence.
• Registers patient information in the EMR with signatures and accurate data.
• Verifies insurance and obtains required authorizations before visits; explains benefits and billing.
• Collects patient responsibility at each visit.
• Scans and maintains medical documents.
• Reconciles and posts charges daily to ensure clean claim processing.
• Responds to information requests from patients, other departments, and physicians.
• Maintains office; orders supplies and manages mail.
• Travels to attend mandatory meetings and in-service education.
• Travels to non-home location centers for coverage when necessary.
