Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in the Dallas area seeks a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) - Float to support multiple outpatient clinics. The candidate will process referrals, schedule patients, complete intake data entry, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, review benefits, collect copays, and assist with billing reports and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification and explaining benefits desired.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate patient appointments with center manager to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence.
• Register patient information and ensure forms are complete and accurate in the EMR.
• Verify insurance, obtain required authorizations, explain benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Collect amounts toward patient responsibility at visits and maintain documentation.
• Scan, maintain and file medical documents; post charges and assist with reporting.
