Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our front office team. You will be the first point of contact, handling scheduling, registrations, and patient support across front desk, medical records, and technologist assistance.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of customer service; you will use EHR software and interact with patients to ensure a positive experience and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Proficient with using computer systems and typing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact for patients and visitors, creating positive patient experiences.
• Register patients upon arrival and verify demographic information and payments.
• Inform patients of delays and follow up to resolve inquiries.
• Answer and direct patient inquiries to the supervisor or manager.
• Obtain and verify IDs and insurance cards; scan documents into the chart.
• Explain consent, financial, and HIPAA documents to patients as needed.
• Proficient use of EHR software and related systems.
• Coordinate with interdepartmental staff to schedule appointments and manage admissions.
• Disseminate preparation instructions for upcoming exams and coordinate with departments.
• Assist in medical office emergencies and contact EMS when required.
