Job summary

UVM Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to provide medical administrative support, assist with billing information, and coordinate care. The role requires maintaining strict confidentiality of patient records and working with the Medical Group across multiple practices.

You will interact with patients and staff, handle scheduling and data entry, and help ensure efficient office operations while maintaining high service standards and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in similar office administrative position preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
• Ability to operate office equipment and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical administrative support to the patient care team.
• Gather and process information needed for billing of office charges.
• Coordinate care and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Support the Medical Group and cover at other practices as needed.
• Promote positive office culture and suggest process improvements.
