Qualifications

Physical Requirements

This position frequently requires walking from different areas. Must be able to push a wheelchair with patient in it and maneuver through doors, up/down ramps and elevators. Must be able to respond quickly to medical STATS and emergencies. This position requires sitting frequently. Must be able to lift 20-50 pounds occasionally. Works in a fast-paced environment with numerous interruptions.

Education, Experience And Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Accurate spelling and attention to detail required. Must be able to key 40 wpm. Knowledge of patient registration, insurance, and hospital billing preferred. Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of third party reimbursement preferred.
