Valley Smiles Orthodontics in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a friendly Patient Service Representative to greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments and assist with billing inquiries. You will serve as the first impression for the practice and help patients understand treatment and financial options.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required.
• Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and dismissal with a friendly demeanor.
• Answer patient questions and concerns per practice policies.
• Handle telephone inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Maintain and update the appointment book and confirm appointments.
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
• Follow up on no-shows or cancellations.
• Register patients on sign-in sheet and ensure accurate records.
• Keep waiting area clean and welcoming for patients.

As a Patient Service Representative, you'll be the welcoming face and voice of our practice. You'll play a key role in creating a positive patient experience by answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting with patient inquiries, and helping patients understand their treatment and financial options.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required (healthcare experience is a plus but not required)
• Experience in dental, medical, or other healthcare settings preferred
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
• Comfortable answering and managing phone calls in a professional manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Positive attitude and a passion for helping others
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
