Job summary

Pride Health is hiring an Entry phlebotomist / PSR to support our client’s medical facility in Pensacola, FL. This is a 3+ months contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization. Pay rate: $17.80/hr on W2.

Shift: Mon-Fri 6:30am-1:00pm, with Saturday shifts possible for coverage. Duties include greeting patients, assisting with check-in, performing basic phlebotomy, maintaining records, and upholding safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
• 1–2 years of customer-facing experience (REQUIRED).
• Some phlebotomy experience or internship/externship (REQUIRED).

• Assist with check-in and basic phlebotomy tasks.
• Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.
• Support phlebotomy draws and coverage as needed.

Pay Rate: $17.80/hr. on W2.

Shift: Mon-Fri 6:30am-1:00pm, Can volunteer for Saturday shifts for phlebotomy coverage.

Duration: 3+ months

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming experience.
• Assist patients with check-in using a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Answer patient questions and explain the process clearly and compassionately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional waiting area.
• Support patients while they wait for their lab services.
• Assist in the draw room when needed to cover phlebotomist breaks or staffing shortages.
• Perform basic phlebotomy and specimen collection duties following established procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Protect patient confidentiality and ensure accurate patient information.
• Follow safety and company procedures.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude with patients, clients, and team members.
• Be willing to learn new skills and grow within the company.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED.
• 1–2 years of customer-facing experience – REQUIRED (retail, home health aide, healthcare, etc.).
• Some phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED, including internship or externship experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic keyboarding and data-entry skills.
• Ability to work comfortably with patients and provide care and compassion.
• Willingness to work both in the lobby and draw room as needed.
