Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a front office professional to support a physician practice in a non-exempt medical office setting. The role focuses on patient greeting, scheduling, data entry, insurance verification, and prompting smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include handling appointment logistics, collecting co-pays, posting charges, and guiding patients through office policies and the patient portal. A strong customer service background is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• High school diploma or GED required with completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients entering the physician practice
• Answering office phones, making appointments, confirming appointments and rescheduling when necessary
• Checks in patients and collects accurate patient demographics, enters data into electronic system and verifies insurance; assists in checking out patients and referral processing
• Collects co-pays and posts charges
• Charge entry and patient balance processing
• Distributes information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, information about the practice
• Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal
