Job summary

Franciscan Health Beech Grove Family Medicine is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The PSR will handle inquiries, schedule appointments, collect copayments, and support front-desk operations within our EMR system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls; respond to inquiries, schedule appointments or direct caller to appropriate staff for assistance.
• Work within an electronic medical records system.
• Collect patient payments; applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
• Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers.
• Additional daily administrative tasks based on practice specialty.
