General Physician, P.C. in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Medical Receptionist (PSR) to be the first point of contact, handling check-in, check-out, and scheduling to ensure smooth patient flow. The role is onsite, with a Monday–Friday schedule and first shift hours from 8am to 4:30pm.

The position emphasizes patient interaction, enrollment verification, and EMR documentation, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Competenze

• Experience in a healthcare facility or strong customer service is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilize computer programs.

Mansioni

• Serve as the initial point of contact with patients and families through administrative duties (check-in, check-out, scheduling).
• Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility; process authorizations and collect co-pays.
• Register patients, review financial responsibility, and prepare charts per Quality Checklist.
• Schedule follow-ups and procedures; provide paperwork and relay information to patients; document interactions in the EMR.
