Job summary

Select Medical in Madison, IN is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, explain what to expect during visits, and assist at checkout, while handling front desk duties with a focus on service quality.

You will schedule appointments, coordinate communications with medical staff and external partners, and manage co-pays, payer approvals, and insurance verifications to keep the center running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience.
• Health Care Experience.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
