Job summary

Valley Baptist Physician Network is seeking a front office professional to support a physician practice in the Harlingen area. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and help with referrals while ensuring a smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include collecting demographics, posting charges, and guiding patients in using the patient portal. A high school diploma or GED is required; healthcare admin certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required with completion medical office assistant program preferred.
• Prefer healthcare management/administration certification.
• Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients entering the physician practice.
• Answer office phones, make appointments, confirm and reschedule when necessary.
• Check in patients and collect accurate demographics; enter data into electronic system; verify insurance; assist in check-out and referral processing.
