Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a Patient Service Coordinator to greet patients, register them, answer routine questions and maintain records. You will facilitate communication between patients and providers and ensure efficient office operations and timely patient access.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries from patients and caregivers, and protecting patient privacy and safety standards. Travel to satellite offices may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to travel independently to satellite offices.

Job Summary

Serves patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, registering patients, and maintaining records and accounts. Responsible for creating a positive patient experience by facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers and ensuring efficient office operations. Responsible for scheduling appointments which will provide timely, accurate, friendly, and clinically appropriate patient access. The Patient Service Coordinator responds to incoming correspondence from patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and beyond, in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in other languages highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to travel independently to satellite offices with or without advanced notice.
