Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree acceptable; Medical Terminology course within six months of employment is required for those without medical education/experience.
• Customer-focused and service-oriented with strong verbal/written communication; ability to troubleshoot and balance conflicting demands.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule appointments in the electronic medical record for a multispecialty practice.
• Gather patient demographics, provider details, and insurance information to determine appropriate appointment area and requirements.
• Advise patients on co-pays, referrals, and pre-service deposits to ensure timely arrival and preparation.
• Navigate multiple systems, handle calls, online requests, and faxes; on-site at least 6 months before telework options may apply.
