Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking a skilled medical scheduling specialist to arrange office visits and procedures. You will manage physician calendars, handle high call volumes, and triage messages for the medical staff.

The role involves patient registration, financial transactions, coordinating radiology/lab scheduling, and entering notes into the EMR. Strong communication and accuracy are essential in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–5 years of prior medical scheduling experience preferred.
  • Entry level with 1–4 years may qualify with supervision.
  • Excess of 4 years experience if meeting basic requirements with supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients for office visits and procedures.
  • Assist with high call volume.
  • Maintain physician schedules for visits and procedures.
  • Take triage messages for medical staff.
  • View patient visit notes and identify problems and orders.
  • Assist in patient registration and financial transactions.
  • May schedule radiology or lab.
  • May include recall scheduling.
  • Assist with check-in and check-out of patients.
  • Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges.
  • File records in EMR.
  • Prepare patient charts and scan documents into EMR.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
