Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin is seeking an appointment scheduling specialist to support our clinics. You will schedule appointments by phone, in‑person, or electronic means, take incoming calls from patients and families, and make outbound calls to arrange timely care.

Work hours are 32 per week (80% FTE), Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. The starting pay is $19.59 per hour, with higher base pay based on relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling phone-based scheduling or customer inquiries.
• Understanding of healthcare or clinic operations is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Education

Minimum – High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred – Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field.

Work Experience

Minimum – Six (6) months of previous experience in an office or customer service environment.

Preferred – Previous experience working in healthcare, previous experience scheduling patients, or previous experience answering phones and greeting clients in person.
