Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation is seeking a Patient Scheduling Representative for a part-time 80% FTE position on a day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekend requirements.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments by phone, in person, or electronic correspondence; answering calls; coordinating with clinic staff to ensure timely patient care.

Qualifications

• 6 months office or customer service experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Associate's/Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Work Schedule

Part-time, 80% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. No weekends required. Hours may vary based upon operational needs of the clinic.

Pay

Pay starts at $19.59 per hour, work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

We are seeking a Patient Scheduling Representative to:

• Schedule appointments via phone, in-person or electronic correspondence.
• Take incoming phone calls from patients and their families to assist them with their appointment scheduling needs.
• Make outgoing phone calls to patients to schedule their appointments.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure that patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred
• Associate's Degree Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field Preferred

Work Experience

• 6 months previous experience in an office or customer service environment Required
• Previous experience working in healthcare Preferred
• Previous experience scheduling of patients Preferred
• Previous experience with answering phones, greeting clients and customers in person Preferred
