• Welcomes and greets patients and visitors over the phone
• Answers phone calls with polite, consistent etiquette
• Keeps the call center area clean, organized, and professional
• Registers new patients and updates demographics by collecting information over the phone
• Gathers information for scheduling (insurance eligibility, referrals, medical records) and follows provider scheduling guidelines
• Maintains patient records to ensure availability of treatment information
• Responds to patient inquiries in a courteous manner
• Generates telephone encounters and routes calls to appropriate staff with adequate detail
• Cooperates with team and assists with other tasks during downtime
