• Provides face-to-face customer service regarding billing and insurance questions.
• Assists with negotiating authorizations and/or pre-certifications for patients within the Mayo system.
• Verifies insurance benefits and documents verification methods.
• Collects co-payments, pre-care deposits, consultation fees and other payments from patients.
• Documents and reconciles cash received.
