The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting. A high school diploma is required, with 1+ year in a medical/healthcare lead role preferred and a background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year lead experience in medical/healthcare setting preferred.
• 1+ year as MA-C or licensed nurse preferred.
• Experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical areas preferred.
• Knowledge of TJC and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Call center/telephonic experience for inbound and outbound calls required.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with patients, consumers, and co-workers via telephone or Microsoft Teams.
• Meets daily, weekly, and monthly qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.
• Trains effectively in multiple and complex scheduling processes.
• Schedules patients for medical office visit appointments and hospital procedures.
• Transfers callers to appropriate departments or locations when necessary.
• Registers new patients by inputting demographic and insurance information.
• Works with online scheduling systems and electronic health records (EHR).
• Follows federal, state laws, and company guidelines to ensure compliance with patient records.
• Verifies patient data and insurance to ensure it is updated for accurate billing.
• Handles patient concerns or refers them to administration appropriately.
• Fills patient cancellation slots efficiently to keep schedules booked for practitioners.
• Other duties as assigned.
