Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a patient scheduling call center specialist. You will handle inbound/outbound calls to support patient scheduling, provider messaging, and general operator services, ensuring accurate information flow between medical staff and departments.

There is no direct patient care. After a 90-day performance period, work-from-home opportunities may be available; the position requires 8 weeks of on-site training to start.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in communications, customer service, a related medical field, or the educational equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by resolving concerns in a professional and engaging manner.
• Coordinates services provided to customers according to policies and procedures.
• Maintains schedule adherence and productivity standards.
• Handles all customer contacts including scheduling requests, provider messages, inquiries, complaints and feedback calls.
• Performs other administrative or clerical duties as assigned by the manager.
