Job summary

HealthLinc in Elkhart, IN is looking for a Scheduler to greet and register patients, schedule appointments, and assist with questions using our scheduling software and a multi-line phone system. The role works with the call center team and reports to the Call Center Manager.

Key duties include verifying patient information, providing scheduling and insurance information, logging messages, and coordinating with providers to resolve conflicts, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with scheduling preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Registers or verifies patient information and schedules appointments.
• Provides scheduling and insurance information as needed.
• Sends tasks to providers and staff as necessary.
• Receives and logs voicemails and conducts call backs.
• Confers with Call Center Lead/Manager for scheduling conflicts.
• Calls patients to remind and confirm appointments.
• May fill-in as an Operator when needed.
• Committed to PCMH quality improvement initiatives.
