Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a part-time health care assistant to support patient care on night shifts in a busy unit. You will observe patients, assist with rounds, and help with transfers and safety protocols under RN supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a current Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or near completion of Health Sciences program.
• Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
• De-escalation training completed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and continuous observation of patient within arm's reach.
• Participate in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Ensure environmental safety and respond to call lights.
• Restock supplies and transport patients within the department.
• Complete required documentation and communicate changes in patient behavior.
