Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Patient Care Support role for 32 hours per week, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays. You will directly observe patients, assist the Registered Nurse, ensure environmental safety, respond to call lights, and help transport patients within the unit.

Requires a High School diploma or GED; BLS certification within 3 months of hire and de-escalation training during orientation. This is a health care role supporting patient care under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Completes hospital de-escalation training during unit-based orientation.

Responsibilities

• Direct observation of patient from arm's length.
• Participates in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Ensures environmental safety for patient.
• Answer call lights and direct care issues to RN.
• Restocks department supplies and transports patients as needed.
• Completes patient safety sitter competency and documentation.

Education

High School diploma/GED/or enrolled and near completion of High School Health Sciences program
