Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Current Registered Nursing license in Georgia or qualifying multi-state compact.
• 2+ years of nursing and/or adverse event monitoring, remediation, and problem solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Group facilitation and ability to manage programs and projects.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• 4+ years in nursing and Healthcare Quality or Patient Safety/Risk Management is preferred.
• CPHQ or CPPS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the patient safety programs at Wellstar.
• Gathers data detailing patient-related errors and conducts causal analysis including Root Cause Analysis (RCAs).
• Conducts risk assessments based on ECRI recommendations, recommends practice changes, policies or programs to mitigate risks and enhance culture of safety.
• Participates in organization development and provides patient safety and risk reduction training events.
