Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Patient Safety Nurse to coordinate patient safety programs in Georgia on day shift. You will gather data on adverse events and perform root cause analyses, conduct risk assessments, and recommend policy changes to strengthen safety culture.

You will also participate in organization development and deliver safety training to staff. The role requires an RN license in GA or multi-state compact, 2+ years in nursing or safety/risk roles, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Georgia RN license or multi-state compact license required; all certifications on hire.
• Minimum 2 years in nursing or adverse event monitoring and remediation.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint; strong interpersonal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient safety programs and risk-reduction initiatives.
• Gather data on patient-related errors and perform root cause analyses.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend policy changes to mitigate risk.
• Provide patient safety training and participate in organizational development.
