Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Nurse Patient Safety Coordinator to coordinate patient safety programs, collect error data, and perform root cause analyses. You will conduct risk assessments, propose policy changes, and provide safety training to staff.

Required is an RN license in Georgia or compact, at least 2 years in nursing or adverse event monitoring, and strong communication skills. This role is on-site in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Current Registered Nursing license in Georgia or qualifying multi-state compact.
• All certifications required upon hire unless stated otherwise.
• 2+ years of nursing and/or adverse event monitoring experience.
• CPHQ or CPPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient safety programs across the organization.
• Gather data on patient-related errors and conduct root cause analyses.
• Conduct risk assessments based on ECRI recommendations.
• Recommend practice changes, policies, and programs to mitigate risks.
• Participate in organization development and deliver patient safety training.
